Chess Tournaments
Marlboro Chess club runs the tournaments for registered students at every level. However for students that want to participate in USCF rated tournaments, we encourage the chess players to sign up for nearby USCF tournaments and participate in them. Participation in USCF rated tournaments will helps the chess players to improve their USCF chess ratings and also give them the necessary exposure to chess players outside of the club and play longer games in person.
There are many tournaments happening in New Jersey and students can get entire list from USChess.org website. There are some tournaments that we prefer students should take part in. Based on our experience students learn the most from attending the tournaments below. You can click on the date and you will be taken to an external site where you can register for the tournament. I will include some info on the tournament below but full details are on the tournament page.
